Religious Freedom:
the Principle upon which
America Was Founded and Still Endures
“America has always been a nation
that believes in the
power of prayer and we will never
apologize for our faith, ever, ever, never, never.
We will never surrender
our God-given rights.
We will defend our liberties,
our values, our sovereignty,
and we will defend our freedom.”
President Donald J. Trump

Religious Freedom:
the Principle upon which
America Was Founded and Still Endures

One Nation
Under God
In 2025,
President Trump declared once again
that freedom of faith is a founding principle of
the United States
and a universal right no government can take away.
He reminded the nation that
when faith weakens, a country falters,
but when faith is strengthened, it is renewed.
He pledged to preserve America as
“One Nation Under God.”
Marking the 250th anniversary
of the Declaration of Independence,
he launched the America Prays initiative,
calling on all Americans to unite
in prayer for peace and strength.
He also announced new protections to ensure
that students and teachers may freely pray
in public schools.

Religious Liberty Commission,
A Commitment to Defend Faith

President Trump launched
the Religious Liberty Commission
to safeguard the freedom of faith in America.
He also established a Task Force within the Department of Justice to
eradicate anti-Christian bias and pledged to use every federal resource
to confront the rise of antisemitism.
The Commission is tasked with:
Preserving the historic foundation of America’s religious liberty
and building strategies to protect it for this generation and the next.
Reviewing key issues such as parental rights
in education, school choice, freedom of conscience, protection of houses
of worship,
free expression for faith-based organizations, and institutional autonomy.
Advising the White House Faith Office and the Domestic Policy Council
with policy proposals and recommendations for executive and legislative action.
Religious Liberty Commission,
A Commitment to Defend Faith

Beyond America,
A Call to the World
The Religious Liberty Commission,
working in partnership
with the White House Office of Faith-Based
Initiatives and the Ambassador for International Religious Freedom,
has clarified its mission to advance religious libertyacross the globe.
These actions reaffirmed America’s renewed commitment to stand once again
as the defender of freedom of religion worldwide.
“We are one nation under God
and we always will be.”
Today, that promise echoes beyond America,
resonating with all who cherish freedom
around the world.

Still, People Around the World
Remain Deprived of
the
Freedom of Religion

In totalitarian nations
such as North Korea and China,
countless people continue to face direct persecution as state authorities suppress
their freedom of religion.
In Nigeria, systematic violence has left many
without protection —
and thousands have lost their lives for their faith.
Across the world, in nation after nation,
people are still suffering simply because of their faith.

In South Korea,
Pastor Son Hyun-bo of Saegero Church in Busan was arrested on election law charges,
despite having led the same congregation for
33 years, with a fixed residence and
no risk of flight or evidence tampering.
Authorities also raided the home of Pastor
Kim Jang-hwan,
former head of Yoido Full Gospel Church and the World Baptist Alliance.
At Charlie Kirk’s memorial service, Pastor Rob McCoy,
chairman of Turning Point USA Faith, spoke about these events in Korea.
He later travelled to Seoul, saying,
“If Pastor Son is imprisoned, I will preach in his place.”
Pastor McCoy declared,
“The American Church stands with the Korean Church
and we will stand together in this fight.”
He called the arrest not a mere legal incident,
but a historic warning of growing suppression of freedom.
Two weeks after his visit to Saegero Church,
he met with President Donald Trump,
Vice President J.D. Vance, the Speaker of the House,
and other members of Congress.
It is now reported that the White House is fully aware
of the current situation in South Korea and the Korean Church.

Rising Suppression,
Even in Free
and Democratic Nations

The American Church Stands with Korea

Now it is our turn to carry that declaration forward.
Join the global movement.
Stand and sign for religious freedom.
We live in a time when churches burn,
and pastors are imprisoned for their faith.
That is why the Religious Liberty was declared
by the Trump Administration
must become a shared declaration
for all free and democratic nations
around the world.
